HistoryThe East Village is located along the Bow riverbank, east of the downtown commercial core. The Bow and Elbow Rivers, the adjacent riverbanks, St Patricks Island and Fort Calgary are physical attractions of the East Village. The aesthetic appeal of such major open spaces is increased by a location beside the dramatic downtown skyline.
